The Beginning:
My product was developed out of necessity.
Back in October 1995, my parents moved from Pittsburgh PA. to Fort Myers Florida. I flew down four months later in February of 1996. A couple days after getting to my parent’s new home, my heart began to stop. The ambulance began to come to the house twice a week, then four times a week. Each time, I was taken to the ER, where I was shocked with the paddles, the kind you see on those hospital TV shows. For anyone wondering what that feels like… it feels like a professional heavy weight boxer’s hardest punch he’s ever thrown. And it leaves burn marks too. It’s not fun but it worked.
To make a very long story short, this all led me to be flown by jet ambulance to Gainesville Florida where at the University of Florida sits
a hospital named Shands.
I was placed in Intensive Care where I began my wait for a heart transplant. I waited the rest of February, March, April, May (my birthday) June,
July, Where I watched Gainesville's fireworks in a wheel chair on the hospitals roof top with my husband Butch, two nurses and a couple of IV
poles.
FINALLY!… July 13th 1996 just before midnight the nurses came into my ICU room and told me they had a donor. I asked if I could keep my contacts
in so I could see the inside of the Operating Room before I was put out. I wanted to see where I was possibly going to be for the last time.
After nearly 10 hours in surgery I was still alive.
Several weeks later, when recovered enough to be discharged, I had to stay in Gainesville to do rehab for weeks; rehabilitation because spending nearly 8 months in a bed, my muscles atrophied (deteriorated), making them useless. I had to learn how to walk again. I also had to stay around for heart biopsies, nutrition classes, l had to learn my many medications, when to take them, how much to take and to look for side effects each of them could cause.
I finally flew back to Pittsburgh PA. At the end of September… 8 months after I went on vacation.
That was SOME vacation huh!
I want to thank some folks at this point.
First organ donor families everywhere. Without your incredible generosity and compassion, I could not be here 12 years later. There are no words in any language to thank you enough.
I would also like to thank my doctors, nurses, friends and family for their love and support. I couldn’t have spent so long in such misery without such a strong support group.
Which brings us to how this product got its start over 10 years ago.
When I finally got back to my home in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh, my face seemed to be wearing every moment of the hell I had gone through. The hot sun of Florida, the months in the dry cold air of intensive care, the drugs, the serious weight loss, the incredible stress…all of it. And hey, just because I went through hell, didn’t mean I wanted to look like it. I’m not allowed to do any of the injectable face rejuvenating treatments due to the anti-rejection medications I have to take that lower my immune system.
Everything I put on my face seemed to burn or tingle or just plain felt too heavy, made me sweat or I couldn’t pronounce any of the ingredients
and had no idea what they were.
So I started mixing and experimenting with different oils from the health food stores. Nearly a year later I had the right mixture, I’ve been
Using it every night since.
